Gabriel Chipara is Founder & Managing Director of Mantis Africa (Pvt) Limited, a business involved in consulting and running business seminars. He has been an independent management and business consultant, speaker and trainer for over fourteen years. Gabriel is a distinguished thought leader on improving the financial fluency of individuals, couples and entrepreneurs as well as the nation at large, regularly participating in weekly radio shows on the subject since July 2012. He has hands-on senior management experience in the Health Services and Medical Insurance sectors as well as in the GSM Telecommunications industries. Whilst serving his Articles of Clerkship, he had exposure to such industries as food, milk and meat processing/value-addition, real estate, stock broking, large scale commercial crop and livestock farming, gold and copper mining.

Gabriel has assisted small businesses and NGO’s obtain funding from commercial banks, building societies (mortgage and business loans broking) and from other sources. He is a founding Trustee of the Financial and Economic Literacy Trust, board member of the Zimbabwe German Society, a former Chairperson of the Excellence Car Hire (Pvt) Limited board and a former Principal Officer of Access Medical Aid Society.

Gabriel has chaired the North Park School SDC and has also been a Treasurer on the Hartmann House SDC – roles he looks back on with fond memories. He has also touched the lives of many youths at church and in schools by mentoring them and giving them financial appreciation/ literacy talks. He is also a Past President of the Rotary Club of Msasa, a Rotary International District 9210 Committee Chair and a current member of The Rotary Foundation Cadre of Technical of Advisers.

Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree, Articles of Clerkship and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Accountancy.
